CBD stands for Cannabidiol, a substance that is found naturally in cannabis and hemp plants. It is hidden mostly in the trichomes, the small vesicles, that grow on the inflorescences and some leaves. CBD can be extracted from the vesicles by briefly soaking the flowers in alcohol and then evaporating the alcohol. The substance that remains is CBD paste that can then be processed into CBD oil and other products.
C. sativa plants has a huge variety of different profiles. It means that, depending on the cultivar you start to obtain your product, the average of the different cannabinoids (like CBD, THC, CBN and many others) can drastically change. For example the 'marijuana' plants, have been selected to contain a great amount of THC, which is the reason why actually there is a restricted medical use and a strong recreational one. Meanwhile, by using the one, commonly referred to as hemp, that contains a notable CBD amount maintaining a really low THC level, you'll get a CBD product that doesn't show any THC psychoactive effects.
Cannabis substances (including CBD) interact with our endocannabinoid system. This system is part of our autonomic nervous system and it is modulated by endocannabinoids (2AG, AEA...). Endocannabinoids are signaling molecules that control a lot of important processes in the body, such as the transmission of (pain) stimuli, the immune system, digestion, reproduction and the plasticity of the muscles. Cannabis is the only plant that contains more than 120 phytocannabinoids (vegetable cannabinoids), which are very similar to the endocannabinoids (the body's own cannabinoids) and thus directly regulate the pathways derived from the endocannabinoid system.
Actually there aren’t any scientific evidences that the CBD-based product can cause addiction behaviors or feelings.
CBD oil from Medic-Grow Oil & Research is completely legal in the Netherlands (and in most European countries). CBD oil is only illegal if it contains the psychoactive substance THC in amount that exceeds the 0.2/0.3%. Our CBD products contains the legal and safety amount of every compounds.
CBD is not psychoactive. This means that you don't get 'stoned' or 'high' from this substance. However, you can experience a slightly relaxed feeling.
The correct dosage of CBD oil differs per person and also per complaint. We recommend that you always start with a low dose: 2.5 to 5 milligrams twice a day so that you can experience what it does for your body. If this does not produce the desired effect within 24 hours, you can build it up slowly (observing the instruction and the maximum quantity in the package leaflet). CBD works fastest when dropped under the tongue or sprayed through a mouth spray. The active substance is then absorbed into the blood by the salivary glands and takes effect within 5 to 10 minutes. When CBD oil is swallowed immediately, the effect may take longer to arrive.
There are no known side effects of CBD oil, except that it keeps some people awake when taking CBD oil just before bed. Medic-Grow advises to use the oil at a different time. Either way, our CBD oil is completely safe to use.
Until the product is closed and well stored, Medic-Gow CBD oil has a shelf life of 12 months, as long as it is stored in a dark place. UV rays can reduce the quality of the oil.
With respect to the latest academic works on cannabinoids in human pathologies, CBD does play a role in the healing of diseases and disorders, by reducing the complaints of the disorders. CBD can also help to reduce the dosage and/or the side effects of some drugs. Anyway, today, the scientific research has not reached a point where the CBD oil can be officially declared worldwide as a medication.
